Sometimes the names used to describe two neighbouring areas, may be used to describe either area. In this way two areas can start to blend into one. Shoreditch on the northern border of the city of London is commonly considered to sit south of Hoxton. However, Shoreditch Park sits at the north-western tip of Hoxton, whilst at the southern border of Shoreditch sits a bar called The Queen of Hoxton. Consequently the terms Hoxtonite or Shoreditch Twat are used interchangeably to refer to a new breed of artisan and fashion conscious adult which has come to live in this area over the last twenty years.
